sorry...

Lex, I need you to make me something more than an author...not that I need that title, but all of the pictures have disappeared because of my blog loss... I'd like to put the pics back up for everyone when you can get to it. Sorry

hi...

hi family,
thanks for the invite lex.
love you guys!

Elder Oaks is the man

So I watched the video of Elder Oak's talk on religious freedom and watch his interview. The lawman has laid down the LAW. In giving points of counsel to us he said to not be surprised when we are reviled for what we believe in or for standing for the truth. Turns out he was reviled on MSNBC by Keith Olberman, but I don't think Keith really read all of his talk. If you think about it, it's really a badge of honor than a mark of shame, GO OAKS!

You don't have to watch it, but if you want:

*it is an attempt to discredit Elder Oaks and is mildly offensive.

AHHHHHHHH!

(I am posting this for Allie, as an unfortunate accident happened that removed her from THE VEGETABLE authorship, among more unfortunate things . . .)

As some of you might notice...my blog has disappeared...believe you, me...this was an accident and I've already shed many tears. I'll be making a new one if my old one can't be recovered...(sigh, all those cute Chloe quotes, gone).
Anyway, I'm way bummed, but glad it didn't erase this blog too.
The blog that will show up is a blog I never really started.
Anyway...
Talk with you all soon hopefully,
Allie

Religious Freedom

As you are probably already aware, Elder Oaks gave a powerful talk to BYU-Idaho students about the freedom of religious expression. I believe this is a definitive speech on this most fundamental right. Here is a link to the Church's news release: http://newsroom.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/eng/news-releases-stories/apostle-says-religious-freedom-is-being-threatened

The text of the talk is in the article.

Love y'all!

Water Storage!

So, Paul told me he now has a testimony of water storage!

He's been suffering from drinking the water in Iowa - he doesn't like the taste, and it leaves him feeling unsatiated. (Note: Paul has a similar reaction to Utah water, too.) Though I haven't had problems adjusting to anyone's water, I feel bad that his thirst isn't being quenched.

Well the other day we found the movers had packed my 12 2-liter soda bottles that I had refilled with water in NC for water storage. After once again failing to be H2O-satiated, Paul went downstairs to grab a bottle from storage.

"Ahhh!" he proclaimed. "REAL WATER!" It has a slight root-beer flavor, but it quenches this thirst, so he is good until the North Carolina water-storage runs out . . . :-D
